Ronsha Brown is the founder and owner of Nurse Practitioners of Pinellas, LLC, she is an adult Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Gastroenterology and Women’s Health. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida then earned her Master of Science degree at University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Ms. Brown's professional medical career began quickly after graduating college at FAMU. Shortly thereafter she joined St. Anthony's Hospital where she spent ten years plus providing patient care with BayCare one of the leading not-for-profit care systems that connects individuals and families to a wide range of services at over 15 hospitals and hundreds of other convenient locations throughout the Tampa Bay and central 

The practice purpose is to provide patients with a personal touch of high quality healthcare. To see continuous improvement on the status of the clinical practice population in this community. We aim to achieve this by developing and maintaining excellent patient care in a pleasant and caring atmosphere. Which aids in the responsive healing care for our patient and families needs . With the expectations of medical service which reflect whenever possible the latest advances in Primary Health Care.

We aim to provide the full scope of primary care, acute medical care, gynecological care, with limited pediatric care. As we strive for continuous improvement on the status for the clinical practice population in this community. We will provide our patients and families with a personal touch of high quality healthcare. When you call our office you will get to speak with a live person. That's ready to respond to your medical needs and answer any of your questions, requests or concerns. We are implementing a patient portal to communicate with you confidentially, this will also improve your patient care and access to medical care.

Owner and nurse practitioner Shay as she is lovingly called by family and friends, has devoted over seventeen years of outstanding patient care within her community. Her plans to cultivate her medical experience will expand her knowledge as a new business owner. Born and raised in south St. Petersburg Ms. Brown has always expressed her great love for the city and the new developments happening in the surrounding areas. As a young child her dream has always been to own a medical practice. She stepped out on faith and left corporate healthcare in 2018 to pursue her dream.

What is A Nurse Practitioner?

Nurse Practitioner (NP's) are registered professional nurses who are prepared, through advanced graduate education and clinical training to provide a wide range of health care services, including the diagnosis and management of common, as well as complex medical conditions to individuals of all ages.

 

Nurse Practitioners diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x rays. May prescribe medication. Must be registered nurses who have specialized graduate education.

 

Nurse Practitioners have been providing quality health care for patients since 1965.  Today there are over 248,000 licensed NP’s nationwide practicing in a variety of settings such as; employee health centers, universities, school health clinics, nursing homes, hospitals, clinics and private office practices.  Wherever health may be given, nurse practitioners can be found.

Extensive research has been conducted to evaluate the quality and safety of care provided by Nurse Practitioners.  These studies have demonstrated that the outcomes of care provided by NP’s are comparable to that of care provided by physicians.
